Professor Greg Lip

Professor Gregory Lip, Price-Evans Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine

Professor Lip, MD, is Director of the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science. Half of his time is spent as a clinical cardiologist, including outpatient clinics and acute cardiology. Professor Lip has had a major interest into the epidemiology of atrial fibrillation (AF), as well as the pathophysiology of thromboembolism in this arrhythmia. Professor Lip is ranked by Expertscape as the world's leading expert in the understanding and treatment of AF.
Professor Deirdre Lane

Professor Deirdre Lane, Professor of Cardiovascular Health

Professor Lane worked as an Academic Fellow and Non-Clinical Lecturer in the University Department of Medicine, City Hospital, Birmingham, before joining the University of Birmingham as a Lecturer in Cardiovascular Health in 2010. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2014 and Reader in 2018 before joining the University of Liverpool in 2019 as part of the newly formed Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science.
Dale Stephens

Dale Stephens, Centre Manager

Dale has worked at the University of Liverpool for over ten years. Much of this time has been spent in research support roles, with a focus on the financial and administrative processes associated with funding applications. This experience includes; project costing, budget management, liaison with key stakeholders and co-ordinating peer review processes. At LCCS, Dale’s role is to manage proposals to strategically selected calls and to develop the centres research outputs on a national and global scale.
